Way of the Swords - The Samurai Warrior on the Noh Stage

Performed by: Munenori Takeda, Fumiyuki Takeda

Noh is the world’s oldest surviving theatrical art, dating back some 700 years.  Noh appeals to the contemporary audience with its universal themes.  The workshop introduces you to the unique world of Noh and is a practical guide to one of the most enduring theater art forms of Japan.

This 90 minute program is a rare interactive workshop.  As a member of the audience you can view the performance, study about many fascinating facts about Noh, and learn to sing the lines with the performers.

The program was first performed in Seattle, Bainbridge Island, Poulsbo, and Vancouver BC in the summer 2013, and extremely well received.  See the video below that highlights the performance in 2013.  Please contact us if you are interested in hosting this event.
